Stop! In the name of love

Before getting rid of “Stop Clutter From Wrecking Your Family,” I had to note something from the book that made a big impression on me.  The author, Mike Nelson, asserts:

Some of the traits that learning to not-clutter will reinforce are far more important than getting rid of stuff or just having a neat house.

Lifestyle Traits Learned From Decluttering

  • Respect for others.
  • Decision-making.
  • Concern for those less fortunate.
  • Increased self-esteem.
  • Decreased anxiety at home, school, and in adulthood.
  • Combating depression.
  • Taking responsibility for one’s actions.
  • Better study habits.
  • Acceptance of ourselves and what we need.
  • Gratitude for what we do have.
  • Respect for property.
  • A sense of balance in having what we need and want, and not having those things we neither need nor want vying for our attention.

I want those traits for myself and I want Quinland to have them, as well.

  • {Bodyfat} released: Hike with the family!
  • {Stress} released: More walking on the beach.  I love the beach!
