I confess… this post is going to be a short one, because I am reading the second Hunger Games book, Catching Fire. I should never have started it tonight, because I am now on page 251 and I know longer have any doubt as to why the papers in my “To File” folder never seem to get filed. Give me a good book, and all hope of productivity flies out the window.
Had an excellent day today. All three of us volunteered at the St. Philip Neri 75th annual spaghetti dinner, so with the exception of a quick trip to Goodwill – where Q got some pants for her Joker costume, David got two books on Europe, and I got The Home Organizing Handbook* – we were at church for about eight hours today.
(* I know, I know. But I didn’t have this one yet.)
- {Clutter} released: The 2006 Writers Market. I have the 2010 Book Markets for Children’s Writers, so I don’t need the five-year-old one.
Ooh, that darn book. Stealing my sleep and leaving me hanging like that. I feel like buying the last book as a Kindle e-book and staying up all night.

As my doctor has reminded me oh too many times, good health requires sleep. Requires. Sleep! You can make a deal with yourself: for every hour that you do not surf the Internet, you can read two hours 🙂
