Peter Walsh’s “It’s All Too Much”

Don’t worry – the Christmas Countdown will return tomorrow.  I just lost half my day today to drug after-effects and then working late to make up the time I missed this morning, so I am exhausted.

But I had to say something about Peter Walsh’s book, It’s All Too Much.  I picked it up on CD at Dollar Tree on my way home tonight and started listening to it in the car.  I am really excited about it.  He begins with having you determine what your ideal life would look like and to think about whether your possessions are helping you to lead that life… or keeping you from it.  This really resonated with me, since I have been doing so much thinking about it since I’ve been working on this blog.

I know, for a fact, that my possessions are keeping me from living the life I want to live.  I can’t use my space the way I want to.  I lose time shuffling things around.  I spend time and money trying to “solve” my clutter problems, when all I really need to do is get rid of the excess.  I put an incredible strain on my relationship with David with the constant mess.  I put an incredible stress on myself by the sheer volume of clutter that I need to tackle.  It is, truly, too much.

I’m looking forward to hearing more and putting his ideas into action.

Daily Check-In:

  • I’m grateful! for getting that book on CD for one dollar.
  • I’m lighter! I slept well, ate well, and worked well today.  Now I’m going to sleep well again!

I would love to hear your thoughts!
