Yesterday the doctor told me to eat healthy and exercise.
I can do that. That’s easy!
But it isn’t easy. It’s simple, but not easy. It takes structure and routine. I need structure and routine. Everything in my life would be better with structure and routine.
Structure and routine… where have I heard that before?
FlyLady. Ah, yes… FlyLady. My friend Nicole reminded me tonight that there was a time when FlyLady saved my life. Perhaps she will be able to save it again.
What does FlyLady want me to do first? Dress to shoes. Putting on your lace-up shoes tells your mind it is time to go to work.
What else does FlyLady want me to do? Shine my sink. A shiny sink is contagious.
What does FlyLady recommend? Baby steps. You can do anything for 15 minutes. Declutter 15 minutes a day. Do your morning and before bed routines.
My life is off track because I am not using routines. Routines are the track.
Daily Check-In:
- I’m grateful! for the fabulous “therapy session” I had over dinner with my brilliant friend, Nicole. She is solving the world’s problems, one by one.
- I’m lighter! I laughed so much tonight. Not coincidentally, I was totally re-energized when I got home and I got tons of laundry done.
