I pulled Robyn Hitchcock’s 1990 CD Eye from the shelf this week, and I’ve been reliving my own 1990 memories. It’s funny how evocative music can be, taking us right back to moments we thought we’d completely forgotten (and making us want to call people we haven’t spoken to in 20 years).
There are some gems on this album. You can skip around from classics like “Queen Elvis” or “Clean Steve” to standard RH madness such as “Agony of Pleasure” or “Flesh Cartoons” or even to a beautiful instrumental (“Chinese Water Python”).
This one? It’s a catchy little ditty.
