Blogging by phone

It’s funny. My phone is in my hand virtually all of my free time, but I have never written a blog post using the WordPress app. Today, however, I’m biting the bullet! This post is brought to you by phone. Let’s see how I do!

I wrote the above text using the WordPress app, but when I went to insert a graphic, I couldn’t figure out how to do it. (Argh.) I’m determined to continue with the whole phone-trial, though, so I did the next best thing and signed on to the WordPress site, where I’m more comfortable.

Okay, that was a lie. I’m not actually comfortable at all with the “new and improved” WordPress editor. It’s too simplistic, in my humble opinion, and doesn’t let you do much. What’s left? Turning back to the old-fashioned WP Admin version! Ah… That’s better.

So it turns out I’m an old woman who can’t stand new technology. I never thought it would come to this. I’m trying to appease myself with the thought that the old system is actually much more complicated, which proves I’m not completely hopeless. Though the fact that I need convincing might cancel that out.

But! I have now written an entire blog post with my iPhone, so my goal has been met. This is most excellent. I constantly think of things I want to tell you all, or have pictures I want to share (or some profound quote of the day), but I never seem to find make the time to sit down at the laptop and write. But I just-as-constantly pledge to start blogging more consistently, so hopefully this is the answer. I often find myself killing time somewhere with nothing but a phone for amusement, and doing something I really want to do beats playing my millionth game of Spider Solitaire.

So here’s to the end of 2017, and may 2018 bring all of us peace, happiness, and a few more blog posts!

Let's talk! Comments are always welcome!
